Joshua enlisted in the U.S. Army in January 2003. Completing OSUT at Fort Benning, GA, he entered service as an 11B Infantryman and later attained the MOS 11Z as a Senior Infantry Sergeant. Over more than two decades of honorable service, he’s held numerous leadership roles—from platoon and company positions within the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and The Old Guard to senior positions at Headquarters Department of the Army and Joint Task Force – National Capital Region, where he led ceremonial, operations, and protocol teams. Notably, he served as Interim Regimental Command Sergeant Major and as Senior Enlisted Leader for the planning and execution of DoD ceremonial support during the 60th Presidential Inauguration. Josuha is the father of three children. The youngest has Down syndrome, a congenital heart defect, and a rare blood‑vessel disorder (moyamoya disease). His daughter's medical emergency and lengthy recovery journey deeply shaped Joshua's desire to support EFMP families. Joshua brings a unique perspective to the board by leading while also having lived experience and deep understanding of EFMP’s challenges.
